What is Mineral Oil?

Mineral Oil is the cheap way to go in manufacturing skin care products:

• The MOST used ingredient in American skin care• A mixture of refined liquid hydrocarbons derived from petroleum• Mineral oil and all petroleum-based ingredients are products of black crude oil• It costs about $1/gallon, as compared to essential oils which can cost as much as $100/gallon• The molecular size of the oil is too large to be absorbed by the skin, thus it forms a film on the skin's surface blocking the pores natural respiration and secretion process, as well as absorption of other nutrients.

When you put mineral oil on your skin you create a barrier. Your skin has pores and is designed to breathe. It's job is to help release toxins that get built up in your body. That is one of the reasons we sweat. The sweat is a way of releasing toxins out of your body.

When you cover your skin with a coating of the oil your skin can not do what it is designed to do.
